SPIKEREX GAME: JUMP, RUN, AND BEAT YOUR BEST
Spikerex Game is an endless runner with gameplay similar to Dinosaur Game. You control a T-Rex with a spiky crest, jumping over cacti and trying to keep each run alive. The goal is simple: avoid collisions, build your score, and beat your best result.
HOW TO PLAY SPIKEREX GAME
Press Space to begin. Your dinosaur runs automatically, leaving you to focus on the obstacles approaching from the right. Press Space again to jump, and use the Down Arrow to duck.
Cacti appear along the ground, sometimes standing alone and sometimes forming clusters. Watch the space ahead and time each jump to clear the entire obstacle. Jumping too early can bring the dinosaur down onto a cactus, while jumping too late leaves little room to avoid a collision.
The gaps between obstacles matter as much as their size. After landing, check what comes next before making another move. A jump that clears one cactus still needs to leave you ready for the following cluster.
A collision ends the run. Check your score, start again, and aim to pass your previous best. Each attempt gives you another chance to become familiar with the movement and improve your timing.
GAME FEATURES
- A T-Rex with a spiky crest: The character’s pointed crest gives Spikerex its distinctive appearance. It adds a recognizable detail to the familiar dinosaur runner silhouette while keeping the character easy to follow during play.
- Brown pixel graphics: The dinosaur, cacti, and ground use brown tones against a white background. The restrained palette creates a consistent desert look, and the pixel artwork suits the simple arcade format. There is little visual clutter competing with the obstacles.
- Three difficulty settings: Choose Easy, Normal, or Hard before starting a run. These options let you try different challenge levels as you become comfortable with the controls. Begin with Easy to learn the movement, then explore the other settings when you want another challenge.
- A visible personal best: The Best display gives you a clear target for future attempts. You can compare the score from a finished run with your record and decide whether to try again. Even a small improvement gives the next attempt a specific goal.
- Direct browser play: Spikerex Game runs in your browser, making it convenient to open for a short session. The main game screen keeps the controls and difficulty selector close to the action, so getting started takes only a few steps.
The appeal comes from putting these simple elements together. Learning the controls takes little time, but clearing several obstacles in succession requires attention. A brief lapse can end a promising run, giving each new attempt a clear purpose.
